Mojubá lesson – 13 July 2014
Today Prof. Kebrado played guitar during the class while we trained 🙂 Lovely! Mestre Poncianinho explained that people used to play guitar with capoeira but for various reasons it doesn’t happen so much anymore, i.e. guitar sound needs an amplifier or it gets drowned, making carrying all the equipt. very cumbersome.
Main sequence practiced today:
player 1 – rabo de arraia
player 2 – esquiva, into chapa
player 1 – queda de rins into tesoura
player 2 – leg used for chapa, into base and stand up.

Mestre Poncianinho wrote the toque down for me, it’s like a capoeira autograph! He’s such a warm, funny, charismatic person. I’m glad I took the plunge and tried this group despite being terrified!
